Exhibition of Meteorological and Hydrological Instruments and Equipment

The 2015 edition of Meteohydex, the Exhibition of Meteorological and Hydrological Instruments and Equipment, took place from 1st to 3rd June 2015 at the International Conference Centre of Geneva (CICG).

PALEXPO was appointed by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) for the organisation of Meteohydex 2015 which took place in conjunction with the 17th World Meteorological Congress which was in session at the CICG from 25th May to 12th June 2015.

Meteohydex 2015 review

This 2015 edition brought together 67 exhibitors from 18 countries worldwide (China, Russia, US, France, India, Japan, Slovakia, Norway, Germany, Austria, Finland, etc.) and 865 delegates from 169 different nationalities who all converged to this key event.

In addition, 232 trade visitors came especially to see the latest technologies exhibited at Meteohydex.

For the second time, Meteohydex was held during the second week of the World Meteorological Congress instead of the first week as in the past editions.

A questionnaire was submitted to the exhibitors at the end of the exhibition in order to evaluate their satisfaction.

In spite of the constraints of the conference location and the limited exhibition space, most of the exhibitors had a chance to present their equipment to some of the High Commissioner Representatives present for the Congress. Exhibitors confirmed to have been impressed by the quality of the delegates.

METEOHYDEX was created in 1979 on the occasion of the 8th World Meteorological Congress, and has been organized by PALEXPO ever since. The Congress and accompanying trade show take place once every four years which means that METEOHYDEX 2015 was the 10th edition.

The purpose of the event is to provide an overview of the meteorological and hydrological instruments and equipment available and to facilitate the bringing together of manufacturers and WMO Permanent Representatives attending the Congress.

Experts in the field consider METEOHYDEX to be the reference event worldwide in meteorology.

An average of 60-90 exhibitors comes to this specialist exhibition each time, which brings together industry professionals and other experts from around the globe.

The exhibition is open to Congress participants and to trade visitors alike.
